The Greater Meadowbrook News uses Adobe® Creative Suite 4: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro to produce the paper for print and and GoLiveCS1 for online publication.
Front, back and center pages print black plus one PMS color, and a different PMS "spot" color is selected for each issue.
- If you do not have graphic design skills or software, send your ad information and instructions, and GMN will design your ad for you – at no extra charge.
- New ad proofs will be faxed or emailed for your approval by Friday prior to publication date. Corrections or Approvals must be returned by Saturday 5pm prior to publication.

For the best print quality possible, we request digital files be submitted in the following formats:
- Preferred: Adobe PDF, 300 dpi, grayscale, from any application. Embed all fonts.
- Adobe Indesign, saved as native or PDF. Provide all Fonts.
- Adobe Illustrator, image raster 300 dpi, saved as .ai or .eps.
Convert text to outline, if you cannot provide Fonts. - Adobe Photoshop, 300 dpi, Grayscale, saved as .psd or .jpg.
If you cannot provide Fonts, rasterize text. - Microsoft Word files.
- Indicate spot color as PMS 485 C for color separations.
Ads will print in the "color of the week." - Ads that are provided in print-only format, or the wrong size, will be edited by the graphics department to ensure the best possible print quality
Design tip: in any application, start a new document, so the "paper" is the exact ad size. Use a margin of .125 inch. The border can touch the edge of the document. Use the numbers below for decimal conversions.
Digital files: Save and Name with your business name and publication date.
