The robotics team consist of 12 girls ranging from 10-12th grade and we are all part of an FTC (first tech challenge) robotics team “The Dork Side” team #13472

This year we have competed in two qualifiers, on November 10 2018 we competed at Conrad High School Qualifier in Dallas, there we won Inspire Award Finalist, Connect Award winner, Motivate award finalist.
On Jan 5,2019 we competed at TCC Trinity River Qualifier, we won Inspire Award Winner, Think award finalist and Connect Award finalist.
On February 23, 2019 we competed at the Wylie High School Regional Tournament were we advanced to the finals in the robot competition and earned the Connect Award winner. Due to this award and being in the top 10 out of 52 teams in the Region allowed us to advance to the world championship in Houston from April 16-21 2019 were we will be competing with 1300 teams from across the World for Awards and of course bragging rights.
We are also waiting to be invited to UIL (University Interscholastic League) Texas state robotics championship in Austin on April 5-6, there we will compete with the top 35 robotics teams in Texas from 5a and 6a schools.
